Cytoguide, which was established in 2007 and has 6 employees, exploits a novel platform technology for targeted delivery of known drugs to macrophages. The combinatory drugs have a high safety profile for the treatment of diseases where macrophages play a key role such as inflammation, infections, and certain forms of cancer. The development of receptor-targeted therapeutics will focus on the macrophage specific receptor CD163, the most abundant transport receptor on macrophages.
